Igniting Hope in the Northern Cape.

“This song is our response to the long-standing, drought and devastating impact it’s had on the farmers and communities of the Northern Cape. We believe that all artists are called to reveal the BEAUTY of God - especially in the most, desolate and broken places. We hope Adonai Roi will encourage hearts and ignite hope in the Northern Cape”. Friends That Worship was birthed out of a desire to see artists link hands across language lines and cultural divides, to reveal God’s beauty through various creative expressions.

Adonai Roi is a prayer-petition for rain and restoration in our country

It is written in English, Afrikaans and Tswana, to include some of the predominant language groups represented in the Northern Cape.
It is also lead by men because Friends That Worship believes that men have an important role to play in the rehabilitation of our society in South Africa.
All proceeds from the song will be donated to the farmers and communities of the Northern Cape through the necessary aid and relief organizations.

Friends That Worship’s hope is that every farmer, worker and inhabitant of Okiep, Springbok, Calvinia, Sutherland, Pofadder, Uppington, Victoria West, De Aar, Colesberg, Kimberley, Barkley West, The Kalahari and every unnamed town in between will hear the heartfelt petition before an Almighty God and will align their faith and their hearts before Him as a result.

“Pula, Pula Morena”. Send the rain Jesus!
He is Adonai Roi. He is Lord, He is our Shepherd... He is the God who sees. He will provide.

Friends That Worship is a community of friends whose chief aim is to glorify God through creating, revealing and celebrating beauty in the Arts. They are currently based in Johannesburg but hope to become a global family of friends that loves to create through collaboration; that shares the same heart for the Arts and is driven by the same passion to see God’s Kingdom advanced in a deliberate and excellent way.
The community was launched in July 2019.
